This position has responsibility for coordinating the execution and delivery of technology related projects.
This position is critical in ensuring the projects are run within the defined framework and control measures. The projects in this space provide a significant contribution towards Deakin achieving its strategic, technology-related goals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Establish and demonstrate a high level of learning, energy and commitment and maintain personal integrity and make decisions consistent with University values
- Consult a diverse range of stakeholders and experts, not immediately involved, to gain a broader and deeper understanding of a specific issue
- Investigate and probe for the facts and identify relevant solutions and select the most appropriate from the range of alternatives
- Seek to continuously improve and apply critical learnings from projects and initiatives across the University
- Seek feedback on improvement opportunities from a diverse range of key stakeholders and implement change through appropriate channels and overcomes obstacles to change
- Challenge existing processes by formulating creative and inclusive alternative solutions and benefits
- Plan and prioritises work and critical activities appropriately and recognise barriers to achieving outcomes, find effective ways to deal with them and evaluates progress
- Develop and provide the necessary documentation and reporting to support the management and coordination of the program and/or project
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, resources, budgets, cost estimates and provide progress and status reports and manage changes as they arise
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties and/or vendors to execute projects
To be successful, you’ll have:
- A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.(Project Management, Administration)
- Extensive experience in technical or digital environment.
- Experience in project coordination and/or administration in large complex organisations
- Experience managing stakeholders to achieve project outcomes
- Knowledge of project methodology, tools practice
