Major Functions and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots any discrepancies which arise on source documents (includes internal and external clients).
- Performs problem solving and information correction requiring knowledge of the interrelationship of various computer systems.
- Confirms with appropriate facilities and clients that all discrepancies are corrected and verified.
- Acts as liaison with physicians to ensure that patient data is managed and maintained with accuracy.
- Works with physicians to set up laboratory services and delivery of patient laboratory results
- Initiate quality reporting by tracking and trending errors with the goal of finding preventative measures

Required Skills
- Excellent computer skills, good working knowledge of LIS is beneficial.
- Proficient use of Microsoft suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on client service and public relations.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrate strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to perform duties independently and with others.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 year experience in a healthcare facility working with a Laboratory Information System.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant post secondary education is preferred
