We are currently recruiting for a Cleaner to join a contract with a key client based in Kells, Co. Meath. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our facilities, ensuring a pleasant and welcoming environment for our client and visitors.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, classrooms, offices, and communal areas
- Dust and polish surfaces, furniture, and fixtures to keep them clean and presentable.
- Handle waste disposal and maintain proper recycling practices
- Ensure all rooms and spaces are well-organized and presentable
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and other cleaning materials
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly
- Follow health and safety guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Proven experience in a similar role, but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour and lift heavy objects when necessary
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies will be beneficial
- Excellent time management skills to complete cleaning duties within designated time frames
- Good communication skills to interact with school staff and students courteously
- Reliability and punctuality in attendance are essential
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: €11.30 per hour
