We are looking for a Local Procurement Manager at ABB Oy, Wiring Accessories division in Porvoo. In this role, you will be leading a team of procurement specialists to execute purchasing and logistics strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. You'll also be responsible for ensuring execution in accordance with Company and Procurement instructions and procedures.

This position reports to HUB BU BHAS Procurement Manager.
- Implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
- Ensuring all relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly. Ensuring alignment between local Procurement activities and Company's strategy.
- In accordance with guidelines and Business objectives, implementing programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, delivery performance and sustainability.
- Securing full utilization of SAP Ariba platform according to relevant procedure, both related to sharing of supplier information and to finding existing high performing suppliers to ABB.
- Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, and savings forecasts.
- Ensuring buyers minimize risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines.
- Monitoring the Procurement processes and activities.
- Pro-actively working to resolve issues related to procurement cost, quality and delivery.
- Monitoring and reporting internal and supplier performance (KPIs), quality issues and development actions.
- Supporting conformance to Company's Procurement metrics.
- Leveraging category teams globally to ensure appropriate supplier selection.
- Defining and establishing local standard agreements with all major local suppliers.
- Providing and maintaining standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives and guidelines.
- Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
- Guiding, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies and Company Procurement guidelines (knowledge management, functional training, etc.).
- Being responsible for coordinating Procurement talent management and succession planning within assigned area.
- Bachelor or master's degree in Engineering or Business.
- At least 5 years working experiences with sourcing and supply chain management background in manufacturing industries.
- Working experience in international industrial environment.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to drive change in a matrix organization.
- Capability to lead, motivate, and develop people.
- Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and a results-oriented approach.
- Ability to think strategically and excel in tactical implementation.
- Fluent written and oral communications in Finnish and English.
- Willingness to travel as required.

The products are produced mainly for the Nordic markets in a fully carbon neutral factory in Porvoo.
